Pay your bills, call your mother, and stop letting your stupid boss walk all over you.
During some cool part of the day or evening, open the windows all over your house if they're usually shut. Let fresh air circulate through the house for at least an hour. Try to do this every day. They say that some sleep disturbance is caused by stale air.
If none of that works, go to a sleep clinic. Let them do the "work" for you. Do you snore and wake yourself up many times a night? Are you tired all day? Maybe you have sleep apnea. If you do, you need help. It only gets worse and will not go away on its own.
Good luck. A great night's sleep becomes a great desire when you haven't had one in a while. I should know--I'm a new mother and haven't been able to sleep through the night in 4 months!

i know there's something that drug stores sell called Melatonin, its a substance that our body naturally produces. I guess it can kind of me counted like a vitamin more or less, not necessarily a sleeping pill. U can try meditating before u sleep?

I am a night shift worker so I have struggled with sleep. I use Melatonin to get to sleep faster when I need a short nap or I change my sleep cycle on weekends. I also take St johns wort to relax my body ,relieve anxiety and help me stay asleep.
Although I don't take Hops, it is suppose to be a natural sedative and help you sleep better. The same with valerian Root. it promotes a more "peaceful sleep".

well whenever i don't get sleep i listen to music that is calming ,and some exercise or a bit of workout or play gets u exhausted , so ,that would help u sleep better.

It depends....if you're trying to FALL ASLEEP faster...try to turn off all lights, sound.
If youre trying to sleep longer, it's just something all humans generate i guess...unless you want to take some prescriptions or buy one of those beds..

Try yoga exercise: Shavasana, it is quite simple to learn. Also do simple breathing exercises when you lie down to sleep. Try this: Inhale 2 counts, hold 4, exhale 4, hold 4. This is a cycle. Repeat as often as you like. After 5 cycles you ought to feel very deeply relaxed and should fall of to sleep quite easily.
Try to sleep in a dark room. This also helps. Best wishes.
