Randall D	I'm not exactly sure of a good remedy for mosquitoes other than maybe pine sap... I just wanted to point out to you that anything that you use that will repel a mosquito (becuase of it's chemical properties, duh!) will most likely have the same chemicals in it as an can of bug repellant. I'm not trying to offend the way that you raise your kids(if that's what this is about) or the way you live, but the advancements of technology and everything.... there is no reason why you should worry about using fertilizers, chemicals, bug repelants, genetically enhanced foods, or other such things. cyndi	Put "Listerine"Mouthwash in a spray bottle and mist the area you don't want the pests at.Repeat as needed(20minutes to 1/2 hr) Bites -Meat Tenderizer paste put on the bite stops the itch. Have fun at your function. Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No

Ardinus	Rubbing alcohol or baking soda with some water to make a paste. Usually it dries out the bumps and then it stops itching. Also, Tea Tree Oil is good for making the itch go away. Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No

StarsYSL	Home made remedy is to make sure that there are no breeding grounds for the mozzies in your home. Before you sleep, shake and fling your blanket and pillows and switch on the air conditioner with your door and windows closed. Mosquito coils are not advised as studies had shown that it is very toxic. If you are staying in landed properties, make sure you have pest control ppl regularly fumugating the surrounding of your house. lamborghini518	this isn't really a home made remedy, but you can buy this. It applies heat to the bite and stops the itch. it works better than chemicals too. i love it. braindancing52	If you consider vinegar an OK chemical. Put white vinegar in a fine mist spray bottle....and spray to your hearts content. You will smell like a pickle....but have you ever seen a mosquito bite a pickle? Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No

Lisa J	No chemicals. I quite agree. You have essential oils against mosquito bites. You can choose one ot the following: 1) Eucalyptus globulus (Eucalyptus blue gum) 2) Syzygium aromaticum (Clove bud) 3) Tagetes glandulifera (tagetes) Make sure you get the correct oil are there are several with similar names and their properties can be very different. Some are toxic. Essential oils must never be used pure on the skin. Dilute the one you have chosen with 5 drops of oil to 20 drops of olive oil, almond oil, or even cooking oil, and rub the area of the mosquito bite with this mixture. You can buy them in any good pharmacy/drugstore or in health food stores. Never take essential oils internally unless you know all there is to know about that oil. NEVER USE ESSENTIAL OILS IF YOU ARE PREGNANT OR BREASTFEEDING. If you want to keep mosquitoes away, you can buy special candles which contain Lemongrass and keep them away. Or buy an oil burner (same store as the oils) and put a few drops of Tagetes oil in water in the burner and that ought also to keep mosquitoes at bay.
