Well, poor diet causes indegestion. You should state how you eat, what types of foods and such.
I eat very healthy and just one weekend of pancakes, red meat, butter, syrup, peach cobbler, fries, fried foods, coffee, or McDonalds and other fast food chains, will give me indigestion. If you eat at all like this then your diet is most likely the cause.
Your diet should always be complex carbs (check the sugar content on ingredient labels), and low saturated fats (lean and healthy meats like chicken and seafood). Also high in fruits and vegetables, and grains in the morning like a bowl of oatmeal or make your own Müsli.

You should take probiotics on a regular basis. It helps your digestive and immune systems among other good things. If you need help right now, get "Heartburn Free" by Enzymatic Therapy. I have a naturopathic doctor who told me this . It worked for me.

Digestive enzymes are most important with whatever else you might decide to try. Papaya and Bromelain are also enzymes that will help but it is better to get the ones that say digestive Enzymes and they contain the same as the papaya and Bromelain anyway.
Sometimes even a bottle of clear soda will help my indigestion.

Liquid Chlorophyll promotes a healthy digestive environment and pineapple helps as well as it contains the enzyme Bromelain in the core.

Yes you can get immediate and long-term help (cure) with natural products! I know because I suffered many years until an herbalist helped me. However, it depends on what's going on with you! Papaya/mint combo will give temporary relief, but you also need to seek out the cause and work on that. That's great for occasional heartaburn/gas, etc. But if your intestines aren't moving well, you need to address that. If you're using PB often, you really need to find a good herbalist. There are a number of contributing factors. You're on the right track- digestive problems can be simple to fix.

Well herbs are fine. But for chronic indigestion you really should be worked up. Also the ATP-ase inhibitors such as Prilosec are very safe and low toxicity. They target specific cells only so they really do not cause many side effects at all. They are probably similar to something found in the Amazon anyway.

Ginger tea is very good for settling your stomach. You can buy it at some stores or you can make your own.
-
Here's a sample recipe:
Ginger Tea Recipe
-water, 4 cups
-2-inch piece of fresh ginger Root
-optional: honey and lemon slice
Peel the ginger Root and slice it into thin slices. Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan. Once it is boiling, add the Ginger. Cover it and reduce to a simmer for 15-20 minutes. Strain the tea. Add honey and lemon to taste.
Peppermint tea is also helpful but it gives some people heartburn.

There are a few options that might help. There are a few natural products for soothing the stomach like Peppermint Oil, Ginger, Dgl (Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice), and Aloe Vera.... but that might not do what you're looking for. Those help soothe the stomach, but you shouldn't need any of these more than 3 times a week or so (unless you're sick or something). If you think you would need them more than 3 times a week on a regular basis, then it's more likely that you aren't digesting properly.
If you aren't digesting things properly on a regular basis, then you probably need more Enzymes or other digestive aids (Bile, Hydrochloric Acid, etc). I would first suggest to start with a good digestive Enzyme complex and some probiotics... that should help quite a bit. You can use the first few items I mentioned (Ginger, etc) to soothe your stomach when needed.
It might also help to keep a little journal or make notes when you have "stomach issues" and make note of what you've eaten over the 6-8 hours before that. Making notes will help to let you see any patterns of foods that cause the indigestion, which can help you determine which Enzymes can help digest that type of food. This comes into play moreso if it's something that digestive Enzyme complexes don't normally cover like dairy, beans, etc.
If you are still having problems after 2-3 weeks, I would suggest adding a digestive aid like Hydrochloric Acid (basically stomach acid in capsule form) or Bile (usually Ox Bile).... but by that point, you'll probably want to have consulted a doctor if you don't feel better, as it could be a medical condition causing the problem. You can ask a doctor if Hydrochloric Acid would help you or not. Good luck!
