As previously mentioned, your best bet would be to call or visit a pharmacist. In the future, having a copy of the PDR (Physician's Desk Reference) can be helpful in identifying and learning about prescription drugs.
Ecstasy, because it is not a legal prescription drug, is almost never stamped with numbers - if stamped at all, Ecstasy pills usually will have some design, like a heart or star. (Real) Ecstasy has an incredibly bitter taste when put to the tongue.
Generally speaking, birth control pills are extremely small, so if this pill is Aspirin-sized or greater, it is unlikely to be the Pill.

I believe there is a web site that you can look up pill information. Just go to yahoo search or google and type in what kind of pill? and it should bring up some websites that you can type the description and numbers into.

My advice would be to call your doctor or hospital to be on the safe side incase it can damage your daughters health.

The best fit for that pill looks like Chlorpromazine better known as Thorazine - it's an antipsychotic, the very first of its class. It's a very sedating medication and has potential for abuse as a "downer". It is seldom used in clinical practice, so if your daughter is a diagnosed schizophrenic, I'd find a new doctor.
I'd recommend broaching the subject lightly - especially since without a picture I just can't be certain.

looking at my pill book I don't see anything in the pictures of pills with those numbers on there, but if you have the letter or the name of the manufacturer on the pill, should have a letter or name on it. then I could look it up in my pdr. ( Physicians desk referance book)
Or you could call your local pharmacist and they should be able to tell ya. hope its nothing bad.

It could be a number of things from certain kinds of drugs to the pill depending on your daughters age. I suggest seeking advice from either your doctor or your pharmacist who should be able to identify it but most of all I think you need to sit down and talk to your daughter about it sharing your cocerns with her and giving her the opportunity to answer your fears.
She may not appreciate you in her room, girls can be so secretative but if she understands that you only have her best interests at heart and that you were worried then at least she can see your side of the story just dont pre-judge her beforehand.

It could be a number of things, but I have pills very much similar to that. It could be birth control which you should talk to her about, its not just the pill it could be she's using it to have sex. It could be an acne pill, similar to what I take. Or it could be a drug that she uses to get high. I know I've busted friends and had them arrested for using pills like that to get up in those damn clouds.

I don't know what it is however there is a website you can use, you enter the shape of the pill, the color, if it has a pattern and any markings and it can tell you what it is, here is the website http://www.muschealth.com/DI/DrugIdentifier/ best of luck!

Take it to your pharmacist and ask. With all the generics out there, it could be any thing. I take it you don't want her to know you've been sneaking around in her room. If you weren't, ask her. Could be as simple as a generic ibuprophen.

definitely call a pharmacy. i work for one and we get calls like that all the time. don't rely on friends answers or looking up on references. pharmacies have drug databases (large pharmacies like cvs and walgreens) that can look up pills made by any manufacturer and tell you what it is for as well.

Imprint Code: 83225
Drug/Strength/Manufacturer: Chlordiazepoxide Hydrochloride 25mg - Quality Care
Description: 832 Over 25 - Capsule
Its an anti-psychotic drug. She's probably using it as a downer or she may be selling it to friends... Confirm it with a pharmacist and then confront her on it. Have your facts first so you don't look stupid in her eyes, because she will blow it out of proportion if you don't have proof. Good luck!
