No, crushing tablets do not make it work faster. Only taking the liquid gell type pain relievers are faster than hard pills.

I think it would.
The crushed Ibuprofen would absorb easily in the lining of the stomach/digestive areas, and the stomach acids wouldn't have to spend much time trying to dissolve a large pill.

No. In fact, you may be making them less effective because you increase the exposure of the crushed pill bits to the acids of your digestive tract.

It seems like it would make it work faster. It has to go through a process in your body. By crushing it, you take out one step. I say yes because it dosen't have to break up in your stomach, you already did it.

I think once it hits your stomach with the water and the acid, it probably disolves so quickly that it wouldn't make a difference. In fact it might take longer because the powder might stick inside your mouth and throat. Plus it would taste horrible.

If you want quick release, you should try Advil LiquiGels. I can't use ibuprofin anymore because of kidney disease, but I LOVED Advil LiquiGels! They work great.

yes, you get through the coat faster by crushing it..This could be bad depending on the dosage so careful if you try it. I do not recommend it. besides the taste is awful.

It will dissolve too fast and get absorbed at the wrong point in your digestive system.

However, for headaches I know that chewing Aspirin and letting it dissolve under your tongue tastes horrible but works fast. I can't say for sure with Ibuprofen however.
