Does anyone have a Homeopathic remedy for constipation?
I am having uncomfortable stomach cramps and I can't seem to relieve them. They are not Menstrual, more on the other end of the spectrum... Serious answers only, I am in some pain.

make a tea out of bay leaves. drink a cup every day for one week.
make and eat some stuffed Cabbage.
drink some coffee
drink plenty of liquids.
stay away from dairy products, except yogurt.
stay away from bananas, rice and apples for a week.
you can do any or all these things. and make sure to take a walk after meals. it helps with digestion.

To relieve constipation, you should eat a lot of green vegetables and fiber. Eating fiber will lubricate your intestines and help get the job done.

The new brand of yogart that is in the grocery stores now really works wonders. They also guarantee it. It is in small serving sizes and is called "Activia" (green label). They have a variety of great flavors. If you are looking for immediate relief though, drink some warm prune juice or eat some prunes.

Oh, and using an enema might help give some immediate relief. It will at least clean your lower bowel and maybe you won't feel as bad.

yes flaxseed Oil tablets along with a spoon of apple cider vinager every day, keeps you regular. also acidophilis helps with intestinal discomfort and keeps you healthy .

keep junk food to a minimum and drink lots of water, that helps too.

you can drink a hot cup of tea,or coffee,take a laxitive and drink at least two glasses of water,lieing on your back on the hard floor for about five minutes and stretch your feet and legs,or get a rectal bottle and fill it with warm water and lay on your side and insert the warm water into your rectum...

Drink prune juice, or increase your fiber. If you are still suffering you may have to go se a gastroentinologist and get a prescription for zelnorm. It worked for me. Good Luck.

PS Stress can also cause constipation

Try drinking some Peppermint or Ginger tea for the cramps. Valerian root is also good for abdomenal cramping but it would probably make you sleepy as well.

There are actually many herbs that will help with constipation. If it is dry constipation, try Marshmallow root, Ginger and cascara Sagrada. It it is wet constipation (pencil thin that feels stuck higher up), try Fennel seed and rose petal tea.

If you are already in pain then you need to clean yourself out as soon as possible, and since most 'natural' remedies do take a little while, sometimes hours.
I would suggest you give yourself an enema right away.
Add 1 tablesp epsom salts to pint of warm water, also drink
1 tablesp epsom salts in galss of warm water.
Do the enema more than once if you don't pass much stool.
And as a 'daily' helper to keep your bowels moving try eating
prunes, and/or drinking prune juice.

The others have already mentioned cures: take a lot of liquid, eat a lot of green leafy vegetables or food that is high is fiber such as prunes.
I just want to add something though I don't want to scare you. My friend passed away from ovarian cancer. It was not detected soon enough because she had been treating herself for constipation (she had wondered why the laxatives were not working) only to find out that the growing tumor was invading her intestines causing her constipation.
I do hope this is not your condition but it should be worth ruling it out. Determine first what is causing the constipation so that you are not "just treating the symptom but also the disease".

Homeopathic Treatments for Constipation, Due to different reasons and with different set of symptoms :-

Chronic constipation; much flatus, distention of abdomen Coca Q, 6 hourly,10 drops in lukewarm water

Due to fast, sedentary life; ineffectual urging, passing stools many times a day Nux vomica 30 or 200, 6 hourly

Hard stools; due to dryness and non peristaltic action of the intestinal tract.Desire for dry food Alumina 0/7 or above, 6 hourly

Stools hard; as if burnt,seems too large. No desire to pass stools; thirst increased, drinks large quantity of water at a time at long intervals Bryonia 30 or 200, 6 hourly

Tonic for proper bowel movement Cascara sag.Q, 4 hourly,10 - 15 drops

Feels better normal when constipated; fat,flabby and chilly patient Calcarea carb.200 4 hourly(3 Doses)

Patient can pass stools only in standing position Causticum 30 or 200, 6 hourly

Constipation with sinking feeling in stomach; tongue white, flabby and slimy Hydrastis can.Q or 6X, 4 hourly

In chilly patient who lacks vital energy; stools goes back to the rectum when partially expelled Silicea 12X or 30, 4 hourly.

Well, homeopathic medicine won't help if you have an intestinal obstruction or anything like that, understand. Laxative agents carry a risk any time you have abdominal discomfort the source of which is unknown and undiagnosed.

Do a liquid diet, soups and yogurt and drinks for a while. Take a stool Softener. Get one WITHOUT LAXATIVE, like Colace plain, without laxative. This will convert the liquid in your diet into something that softens your feces and makes defecating easier, without cramping or harshness.

Please note, there's water soluble Fiber and nonsoluble. Beefing up on roughage isn't great if you're constipated. You need watersoluable fiber, such as oats or psyllium.
