Does anybody here know where I can get a good massage with little or no money?
I'm so stressed out right now because of my family, financial trouble and school so I need a really good massage but somebody has to be "EXTREMELY" gentle and massage me but without tickling me. Let me know soon.
Share and Enjoy!

Probably your best option would be a massage school, if there's one nearby. (I'm in Seattle, and we have three schools with clinics that offer pretty cheap massage). All of the students have to do a certain number of massages in order to graduate, and they don't start clinic until they've done a certain amount of training, so you should get a pretty good massage. Just be sure to tell the therapist what you need before they start. In fact, when you call to make the appointment, let the person who takes the call know what's going on with you and they can probably set you up with an advanced student who will be able to meet your needs.

And if you're really lucky, you might even find a student who needs some additional practice outside of their clinic hours and is willing to do some free sessions. You could try an ad on craigslist or a similar local online paper if you have one. Don't know if it would work, but it couldn't hurt. Just be careful with your wording, or you could get some weirdos contacting you!

I've been a massage therapist in Seattle for over 20 years. If you'd like any more info, you can contact me through my site and I'd be happy to help you out. A good firm, relaxing massage shouldn't tickle. I know. I was (still am) extremely ticklish when I started massage school, but have no problems now except with those awful feathery light strokes that a lot of my clients seem to love so much ;-)

Best of luck!

Jan

What you do is go to the "Brookstone" in your mall- they have a bunch of massage chairs there for ppl to try out and test- find an empty one, sit back, use the remote, and relax (of course, after a day's hard work of shopping at the mall ;)

Like the others have said, call a local massage school. It is usually half the cost of a professional and nearly just as relaxing.

Some therapists will even trade or barter services in lieu of cash payments.

Another idea is to get a friend and go to a "massage basics" class.
In Chicago, the Cortiva Institute offers free 8-hour classes on Sundays. You can learn how to give a safe and effective massage without tiring your arms and hands.

Meditation and breathing exercises also can help ease the effects of stress.

Call a local massage school and schedule a time. The students need to have a certain number of massage hours for credit. You could get a full hour of massage for a lot less money.

1. Find massage colleges in your area and get a student massage
2. Find a friend to trade massage with.

As others have indicated, a massage school is your best option.

What you want to do is befriend a student and get the massages on the side. Students need to put in several hours and they are not allowed to charge but they can take donations. Just make sure that you let them know that you are very ticklish and you do not want to be tickled and they will respect that.

One interesting side note though - if you had a close friend (or lover if you have one in your life) and you asked them to gently tickle you without going too far, you would receive a lot of endorphins which help to relieve stress! (I will volunteer to prove it to you if you're brave enough to try ;O} )
