CyberCommie	You don't have to be terminally ill to be prescribed Heroin or Morphine for pain relief, why should Marijuana be any different? If they are in pain they should be given something to control it. Do you honestly think the weed is so dangerous that only the dying should have it? CS	California's Proposition 215 allows for the prescription of medical marijuana as follows: (A) To ensure that seriously ill Californians have the right to obtain and use marijuana for medical purposes where that medical use is deemed appropriate and has been recommended by a physician who has determined that the person's health would benefit from the use of marijuana in the treatment of cancer, anorexia, AIDS, chronic pain, spasticity, glaucoma, arthritis, migraine, or any other illness for which marijuana provides relief. Notice, please, the last phrase: "or any other illness for which marijuana provides relief." The use of medical marijuana is not limited to the terminally ill. slew	Yeah. News reporter went to clinics out here in California recently and faked there way to get prescription. THey said it was very easy. Most who opposed it knew it was a veil attempt to legalize marijuana. If you read some of of the posting here, people equate legalization with medical marijuana. If you notice, they say stuff like its a drug that help the sick so If your not sick its not going to be bad for you. Thats why it should be legal. Legitimate doctors either don't believe in its medicinal use or only give it out when there is no other alternative. Unfortuantely, there are other doctors into easy money. mcdannells	You are looking into getting your card, but you are not terminally ill...why is this? Since you obviously looked up the reasonings one can get legal....Never said what medical condition you have to get legal... I just do not believe you. You say you know someone who is willing to loose there card and get put into jail by smoking this with there girlfriend for entertainment use. This is not anyone I know and I am legal! I know others who are legal. I do not believe you!! Michael E	No, I don't. They are trained medical personnel. They wouldn't risk their licenses to be common street corner dealers. The dealers get a bigger cut, anyway. If they prescribed it, it's legit. Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No

Serinity4u2find	Yes I do think some doctors are writing too many prescriptions for pot. I have seen people get it for anxiety, depression, stuff that I don't see why because pot is for pain and nausea. Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No

It has I gather been given a named patient status as a nasal spray in Canada and in USA the Supreme Court as defended its medical use.the Dutch government introduced a fully legal, licensed medicinal Cannabis programme. IN 2001, the UK Government expressed a willingness to consider allowing Cannabis to be provided on prescription for several conditions, most notably multiple sclerosis, but as yet no drugs have been licensed. Cannabis is not available on prescription. The Medical Research Council conducted a trial which reported last year that two thirds of MS sufferers reported experiencing relief from taking Cannabis. But it added that more research was necessary. A British commercial company, GW Pharmaceuticals, has carried out trials into nerve pain and general MS symptom relief and is awaiting a licence for an oral spray, Sativex. The drug is being appraised by the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency. A further trial into incontinence, funded by the MS Society, has yet to report. Was this answer helpful to you?
