Go to a dr. and get a prescription for Hydrocortisone cream, 2.5%
works really well. This strength will take it away in 2 days.

Poison Ivy is basically contracted and spread through moisture, you need something to dry the rash, baby powder actually works, and have to make sure it is not scratched, have hand sanitizer available to clean if you do scratch. Calamine Lotion works as well.

No cures, but i would go with Ivarest cream. Put it on there as much as you can. And don't itch! They'll just hurt worse. Make sure you change your bedsheets, and clothes so the original poison doesn't keep infecting you and giving you new spots. It should disappear within 2 weeks of appearing.

My husband is very allergic to Poision Ivy and the only thing that seems to work on him is aloe vera gel. I don't know why it works, but it does a great job.

There is no cure for Poison Ivy. Poison Ivy is an allergic reaction. You should put on ointment (found at any local supermarket) to stop from scratching and spreading and just take some antihistamine, like Claritine.

White shoe polish. It really works, especially for kids.

My son gets this every year, very badly.
One home remedy we used was Ban Roll-on deodorant (no aloe, just plain old Ban); it really did help with the itching, but of course don't put in near your eyes. There is no cure. It just has to run its course.
If it gets too bad, you may need to see your doctor.

The quicker the blisters dry the faster it goes away. I know some people who just scrub it too death and make it all scab up. Looks bad for a few days but then it's gone.
Oatmeal, baking soda, vinegar, Desitin,

Wash everything the Ivy came into contact with, and then use something like Hydrocortisone on your skin to reduce the inflammation.

I got some from my garden recently and someone told me Witch Hazel (in pharmacy area). If the plant is in your yard, I poured liquid bleach on it to kill it. Worked like a chram. Don't ever, ever, ever burn or mow it. If inhaled you can get the spores in your lungs!
