milk of magnesia or Chamomile tea. Works a treat! Sometimes a hot water bottle will ease the pain too!

Yes, drinking water can be helpful.

Other things that might help would be digestive Enzymes and Dgl, an herb. Slippery Elm is another herb that is soothing to the tummy.

Good luck and be well.

Depends on teh type of stomach ache. Personally, I find that for gas cramps the best cure is a teaspoon of baking soda in water.

Ginger ale does an excellent job for general queasiness and also helps with gas cramps. It's also a whole lot easier to stomach.

Mix about a 1/4 or so teaspoon of Ginger in a cup of juice and drink it down. My hubby swears by it.

Try live yogurt,

Some manufacturers add other cultures during processing to enhance the health-promoting potential of yogurt. The most commonly added cultures include Lactobacillus Acidophilus, L. casei, L. reuteri and Bifidobacterium Bifidum. These "Probiotic" bacteria pass through the stomach to the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. There, they help maintain a healthy balance between the 200-plus kinds of bacteria that live there.

Here are some herbs that will help, tea format is normally the best. Hope feel better soon.

• Aloe (Aloe Vera)
Use juice or gel from leaves
Is an essential ingredient in any herbal first-aid kit. Externally it is a soothing and cooling wound healer. Takes the heat out of sunburn or minor burns and re-moisturizes the skin at the same time. Good for insect bites, stings, grazes and mild eczema, especially if COMBINED with Calendula tea for its antiseptic properties. COMBINES well with Hypericum and Symphytum. Internally, a powerfull purgative, for in its unprocessed state contains strong laxative ingredients, but must be carefully combined with carminative herbs that relaxes the muscles of the stomach and intestines to avoid uncomfortable gripping, like COMBINE with Carum Carvi, Matricaria Chamomilla, Zingiber Officinalis or Mentha Piperita. But with purgative (laxative) ingredients removed, it is a powerfull wound healer and soothes inflammation inside the body and out. Good for irritable bowl, colic and the aftermath of intestinal infections of all sorts. Also good for managing chron’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Also calming rheumatoid arthritis. CAUTION: Aloe for internal use cannot be prepared at home from the raw plant.

Balm, Sweet Balm, Lemon Balm (Melissa Officinalis)
Use Arial Parts
Is one of the many digestive herbs, and is a dispeller. Like many fragrant herbs, it also acts on the nervous system, calming and cheering. Anyone who takes it regularly will cope better with stress. It is particularly good for indigestion where anxiety and tension play a part. For irritable bowl and similar problems COMBINE with Symphytum, Matricaria and Mentha Piperita. For gastritis and stomach ulcers COMBINE it with Glycyrrhiza, Filipendula and Althaea. It can also help bring down high blood pressure as it stimulates the circulation at the same time as calming tension. Will COMBINE well with Crataegus, Tilia or Achillea. For anxiety states and mild depression COMBINE it with Hypericum, Valeriana or Borago. Melissa is a balm to those who are wounded in spirit, whether by grief or some other trauma. CULINARY: Is one of the sweetest tasting of all herbs. It’s a popular tea, and can also be added to punches and fruit cups for its delicate lemon fragrance. OTHER: Melissa means “bee” in Greek, which indicates that it is one of the best bee-herbs, loved by bees, and by humans for the fine honey they make from it. Was traditionally believed that if Melissa was grown by the hives, or rubbed onto them, it would not only help the bees to find their way home, but would also attract new ones. The oil of Melissa is used in Perfumery.

Centaury (Erythraea Centaurium)
Use Arial parts
Usefull whenever an appetite stimulant is needed or with stomach problems and is Gentle enough for children. COMBINES well with Matricaria, Melissa or Althaea for this. Usefull in convalescence, especially when the liver is in need of restoring after illness or drug therapy. Is also a reliable tonic for adults and for those suffering from anorexia nervosa or if have more straightforward digestive problems. For elderly people who are run down or the digestion has become sluggish, it will perk up the appetite and can restore lost vitality. Thus it is a good pick-me-up, but is not for the more bracing tonics.

• Dill (Anethum Graveolens)
Use Seeds medically and Leaves in cookery
Usefull carminative that soothes intestinal spasms and promotes good digestion. Helps dispel winds and its Gentle action makes it the first choice for colic babies and stomach upsets in general. COMBINES well with Matricaria, Althaea and Glycyrrhiza. It has been used as dill water or water containing essential oil of dill. Tea made by steeping seeds in hot water is very effective. CULINARY: Leaves known as Dill Weed used in cookery for its Gentle piquancy with milder tasting foods like fish or in soup or sauce or added to salads or salad dressing. Is a spice used in pickling.

Lemon Verbena (Lippia Citriodora)
Use Leaves and Flowering tops
Strengthens the digestion, it stimulates the stomach and calms indigestion and flatulence. If taken strong enough, it will provoke a sweat, which makes it a favourite tea for cooling and refreshing in hot summer weather. CULINARY: A herb that crosses the divide between food and medicine, it is most used as a tea or tisane, either on its own or mixed with other pleasant-tasting herbs. OTHER: Has a fresh lemony fragrance which is due to its essential-oil content. This is highly valued in perfumery. The leaves keep their scent for many years, so they are a usefull ingredient in pot-pourris, pomanders and linen sachets, which can be put in clothes drawers to keep their contents smelling fresh and to deter moths.

Marshmallow (Althaea Officinalis)
Use Roots and Leaves
Is rich in mucilage, a gel that is very soothing to irritated or inflamed tissue. On skin can be used for abscesses, boils, ulcers and varicose veins. Internally it heals inflammation in the digestive system, from mouth and stomach ulcers to enteritis and colitis. The leaf is used respiratory problems like bronchitis and sore throats (makes a nice sweet tasting cough Syrup) and irritable conditions of the urinary Tract like cystitis and urethritis. Is Gentle and has a pleasant taste thus good for children.

Marigold (Calendula Officinalis)
Use Flower heads, especially the petals
Is anti-infective, anti-inflammatory and its astringency helps to protect and seal wounds. Used as an infusion or cream it helps with any skin inflammation, cuts, bruises, burns, scalds and insect bites. For a cream use only petals to get deep golden color. Also plays a valuable role in the management of chronic or slow healing skin conditions like varicose veins, ulcers, eczema and acne. Internally it helps heal mouth and stomach ulcers and sore throats and eases digestion. COMBINE with Althaea, Symphytum, Filipendula and Glycyrrhiza. Is first herb of choice whenever there is a problem with Candida (thrush), whether oral or vaginal. It discourages and eventually drives out the infection, as well as toning and cleansing the tissue so that infections cannot easily gain a foothold. If condition is chronic use for a few months and still long after the symptoms have disappeared. COMBINE with Thymus, Commiphora Molmol (Myrrh) or Maleleuca (Ti-Tree) oil, for external use only to enhance effects. If taking antibiotics for any infection, taking Calendula at the same time will help ensure that Candida does not appear after antibiotics are finished. CULINARY: Petals can be used to color cheese and butter yellow.

Meadowsweet, Queen of the Meadow (Filipendula Ulmaria)
Use Arial Parts
Is a valuable remedy for most digestive problems, from heart burn and acid reflux, stomach ulcers and inflammation to loose bowel. It contains Salicylic Acid, a potent anti-inflammatory which is the active ingredient in Aspirin. There is no danger in causing irritation to the stomach lining like when using Aspirin or the other NSAIDS (Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs), but is a stomach healer. It reduces stomach acid, protects and heals the stomach lining and is gently Astringent to the intestine. COMBINE with Glycyrrhiza, Matricaria, Melissa or Symphytum. Its Salicylic Acid contents makes it usefull for those suffering from rheumatic pains in the joints and muscles and it can help bring down a fever. COMBINE with Glycyrrhiza, Dioscorea Villosa (Wild Yam) or Harpagophytum for rheumatism and COMBINE with Achillea, Sambucus and Nepeta Cataria (Catmint) for fevers. CULINARY: It’s still sometimes used to flavour meads and beers. OTHER: The flowers, which have an almond-like scent, and the leaves, which are also sweetly fragrant, were both used as strewing herbs in former times, and their smell was said to ‘make the heart merry and joyful and delight the senses’.

Raspberry Leaf (Rubus Idaeus)
Use Leaves
It’s a Gentle digestive tonic, Astringent and soothing for an upset stomach, mouth ulcers and inflamed gums. But is best known as an aid to pregnant woman, it tones and strengthens the muscles of the uterus, helping them to reach peak condition for the birth, hence its reputation for bringing about a quick and easy labour. It may not always be able to achieve that since other factors like the position of the baby also plays a role, but it will help the contractions to be efficient ones. It will also help the uterus return to normal size after childbirth. For maximum effect start taking it three month before the baby is due. You can COMBINE with it with Gentle and relaxing herbs like Matricaria or Filipendula. Continue taking it for up to six weeks after the birth, especially if labour was long or difficult, or if you have had several babies already, to help the uterine muscles regain their tone. CULINARY: Raspberry fruits are delicious eaten raw, or they can be made into jam, syrup, cordials and wines.

And this next surely works as well.
For stomach Ulcers:
Combine in tea format: Marshmallow (Roots and Leaves), Liquorice (Roots, not to be used if suffering from high blood pressure), Meadosweet (Flowers and Leaves), Comfrey/Knitbone (Leaves and Roots) and Marigold (Flowers, especially the flower petals).

Hope feeling better soon.
