I have this complaint and the Gp prescribed a Thyroid booster I think there is anything wrong with this ?. I feel no different, but the blood test show an increase. There are quite a few natural remedies but how good they are I`m not to sure.

firstly it is dangerous to self-diagnose with an uder-active Thyroid, please check with doctor first.
I think Kelp & sea vegetables, supplement of B12 & B vitamins. Foods that help to naturally regulate Thyroid activity include members of the brassica family such as brussels sprouts, Cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, kale, and turnip

As before, Iodine. I can recommend this one: http://www.metabolics.com/Products/product.php?Code=IODI0015T&Category=Minerals&SubCategory=Iodine - a really reputable company with a high quality product. Try smearing a tiny drop on your hand, and see how long it takes for the brown mark to disappear. If it's more than 4 hours it won't help, under 15 minutes you need 5 drops per day. 15-60 minutes, 4 drops per day. You can take them in water as detailed on the bottle, but the taste is pretty rancid, so I'd recommend smearing the drops on your skin and letting it soak through. Sounds funny, but if your body wants the Iodine, it'll absorb it through the skin no problem.

Hey have you tried looking on the net for your problems, just go to make your self right and you should get the answer or just put in underactive Thyroid and see your answer. One of them you either put weight on or can loose a lot of weight, Have you spoken to your doctor about this, as you may need to take medication. But you can also go to Boots pharmacy or any pharmacist and ask them, best of luck

Armour Thyroid has helped me. It's natural and has been around for years. Many feel better on it because it contains both T4 and T3, where standard treatment is only T3. I will put links for it below.

Yes. Eat food with a good supply of Iodine (any food to do with the sea, really) Best sources are seaweed (you can buy Kelp tablets, if you don't like the taste), and make sure to use sea salt.
Another thing that you should be doing is stimulating teh Thyroid. The best way to do this, and the easiest, is with one yoga move, the sarvangasana. Lie on your back. Raise you legs and you buttocks off the floor, until your body is straight in the air and you are supporting it on your neck. Your chin should be pressed against you chest, and you support your back with your hands. Every time you breath, your Thyroid will be massaged, and this will help to normalise it.
