Get an aloe leaf from your grocery store, and cut off a portion of the outer layer, scoop out the gel, and paste it on your burn with bandages.

For initial treatment the objective is to cool the burning process. The best way to do this is with cool water. Over a short period of time some burns, which initially appear minor, may develop into a more significant burn as the body's response to the injury evolves. Make sure the area is clean and dry after initial treatment. If blisters appear do not break them as this will introduce a pathway into to the body for infection. The likelihood of infection is higher with burns as the protective layer of the skin is damaged. I would suggest a visit to the doctor who may prescribe Silvadene cream, also called Silver Sulfadiazine. This topical cream protects from infection while assisting in the healing process.

Honey.
" Five studies were conducted in patients with partial thickness or superficial burns involving less than 40% of the body surface. Comparators were polyurethane film, amniotic membrane, potato peel and silver sulphadiazine . For some or all outcomes honey was superior to all these treatments. Time for healing was significantly shorter for honey than all these treatments.
Treatment with honey produced significantly more healing at seven days. At seven days 58% of patients were healed with honey, and 19% with other treatments (Figure 1). The number needed to treat for seven days with honey to produce one patient with a healed burn was 2.6 (2.1 to 3.4) compared with any other treatment. By 21 days 99% of patients were healed with honey, and 75% with other treatments. The number needed to treat for 21 days with honey to produce one patient with a healed burn was 4.2 (3.3 to 6.0) compared with any other treatment. "

Here are two ideas to try:
1) Cutting a potato in half and outting it on the burn works great. The starch neutrilizes the burn, pain and future scarring. It also works great on sunburns.
2) Pediatric doctors in Banjul, Gambia, have found that papaya pulp makes an excellent burn dressing. The doctors mash the pulp of the papaya and apply it directly to burns. Children tolerate it well and it has proven to be very effective at sloughing off dead tissue, preventing infections and providing a clean wound.
Papaya pulp contains the proteolytic enzymes Papain and Chymopapain which have been used for centuries to remove warts and other skin imperfections. Apparently, the pulp also has components that exhibit antimicrobial activity since the doctors in Gambia are also applying the pulp to infected wounds with successful results.
