Twenty days on an antibiotic is likely to kill the good bacteria that can help get rid of the bad. Maybe taking a good quality Probiotic between meals and not for at least an hour before or after the antibiotic could help replenish the necessary bacteria. Your body can do wonderful things to heal itself with the right help from you. |

UTI's can be very serious. In fact, I learned recently that UTI's are the cause of death for most who are paralyzed. Interesting little known fact. Glyconutrients are what many are using successfully to provide the body with the raw materials to modulate the immune system, to take care of this. 98% effective |

20 days with antibiotics?and no effect?you better check with the doctor.normally infection clears up with the antibiotics within 2 to 3 days.so its wise to check with the doctor and repeat the tests.anyway,as a home remedy you could try Barley water, cook washed Barley in water, strain and drink with lemon juice.you can drink this frequently even as a replacement of water.its very good and brings a quick difference.also if available drink plenty of coconut water, like in every four hours, its also a sure cure. |

You can go to the store and get some Vitamin E, c, and also Cranberry pills. Also a lot of water and Cranberry juice. This will help clear out you system. They also should give you a shot of system cleaner. I don't remeber the offical name but I remember that they had to put lidocane with it because it hurts to be injected inside of the human body. This is the worst experience that I ever dealt with but my UTI was gone in about 2 days. Also the shot will make you relax a lot in you but area so when your system is wanting to clear out you better be able to be by a toilet. Good luck! You may want to talk to your doctor again. Also if they do the same thing. Go to the emergency room. They will help you right then and there. |

Home remedies? Yes indeed! I used to be a caregiver for an elderly lady, and we found THE perfect cure! The doctor told her that EColi was the most common. Of course, Cranberry juice is good, but you can never get enough of the magic ingredient unless you drink a gallon or more. The magic ingredient is Vitamin "C". Just go to the grocery store & buy a bottle of ESTER "C" tablets. ESTER "C" is merely a non-acidic form of Vitamin "C". It comes in 500mg and 1000mg tablets. You can choose either one. They will NEVER upset your stomach no matter how many you take. (ORDINARY vitamin "C" tablets WILL!). Take 1000mg of ESTER "C" with a full glass of water spaced out 4 times a day. Continue whatever you are currently taking, or doing, and just add this to your daily routine. Ask your doctor before you take anything new, if you like. It will not fail to take the infection away in just 2 or 3 days. |

This is just to enlighten about the antibiotic properties naturally available in other options, you may get an idea how best the body responds to home remedies BLACK SEEDS 1 source: http://www.divine-herbs.com/id22.html HONEY "....... favorite story about honey makes reference to a 20-year-old wound in a British woman. Bacteria had been festering in an abscess in her armpit for years, resisting all the antibiotics she had taken. Nothing seemed to help her and she could barely use her arm. In August 1999, she heard about honey's healing effects and convinced her doctors to put some in her dressing. At that point they were willing to try anything and were not very hopeful that anything would work. However, they were quite surprised when one month later the wound finally healed and the woman could use her arm again. Since then, honeys have been tested on the different species of bacteria responsible for wound infection (Molan, p.2). The State Medical Society of Wisconsin announced," It is only a matter of time before antibiotics lose their effectiveness because their overuse creates ever-stronger germs." Thus, we may have to go back to the to the old fashioned remedy. However, "old fashioned", is not as bad as it sounds. Effectively, the potency of honey was found to be superior to all types of antibiotics. Two years ago, Australia approved honey as a medicine and began selling it in pharmacies (Whichman, p.1). 2 source: http://www.islamonline.net/servlet/Satellite?c=Article_C&cid=1157962487801&pagename=Zone-English-HealthScience%2FHSELayout 3 source: http://www.islamonline.net/servlet/Satellite?c=Article_C&cid=1157962488282&pagename=Zone-English-HealthScience%2FHSELayout 4 source: http://www.islamonline.net/servlet/Satellite?c=Article_C&cid=1157962488581&pagename=Zone-English-HealthScience%2FHSELayout 5 source: http://www.billybee.com |

Hi MicD, * Drink 10-14 glasses of water to protect oneself from urinary infection. |Drinking so much water flushes out bacteria and other microorganisms which contaminate the urinary Tract. * Do not suppress the urge to urinate, as it may have dire consequences on your health leading to a fully-developed urinary Tract infection. * Always wipe yourself from front to back, this stops the entry of the bacteria from the anus into the vagina or urethra. After having a bath or a bowel movement, follow this simple rule. * Take showers instead of bubble bath to prevent entrance of bacteria into the urethra which causes UTI. * Wash your genital area before and after a sexual intercourse. Also urinate before and after an intercourse. This avoids the transference of bacteria from one partner to another. * Douching and scented sprays can cause infection and irritation of the vaginal area. These do not help the cause of alleviating the urinary Tract Infection problem. * Drink good amount of Cranberry juice as it one of the most simple and natural way of treating urinary Tract infection. It prevents as well as heals the infection due to its medicinal properties. * Stay away from caffeine found in coffee, tea, carbonated drinks, chocolates and many more. * On the onset of urinary Tract symptoms consume vitamin C supplements. It increases the acidity level of urine which helps to decrease the bacteria present in the urinary Tract. * You can apply a warm heating pad or hot water bottle on your abdomen to ease the pain. * Use of spices like Cinnamon and tincture mixture of herbs like Buchu, Uva Ursi and Juniper berries can act as antiseptics to clean kidney and bladder. * Drink one glass of water for every 10 hours of the day. This will help you keep tab on the amount of water you drink. * Avoid bladder irritants like citrus, tomatoes, aged cheese, chocolate, spicy food, caffeine, alcohol and Nicotine. The irritants may differ for some individuals, but these are some of the common ones. * Avoid tight underwear as it creates an ideal environment for undesirable bacteria to breed. Jason Homan |
