Acne on the chin?
I am 28 and have never had an acne problem, but just a couple months ago I began breaking out profusely on my chin. I have pimples nowhere else. They are also really red, hard, and sore. I have heard that it is probably either a digestive problem(which I know I have) or hormonal. I am on birth control pills (Triphasil) and have been for about 1 1/2 years. I have changed my makeup, my cleansers (use all natural stuff mostly), used home remedy spot treatments like raw apple cider vinegar, raw honey, neem, aztec clay masks, etc. the list goes on and on. The pimples will dry up, but are then replaced by new, bigger ones! I had 4 new ones come out on my face last night! I haven't had any out of the ordinary stress in my life and have a wonderful man. I know this is probably due to hormones or diet, but was wondering if anyone had any other ideas. Also, I am thinking of ordering some new makeup from joppaminerals.com and was wondering if anyone recommended them. Thanks

I am a doctor. You suffer under the disease known as Chingivitis. Just kidding. its just a hormonal problem. The easiest way to take care of them is put baby oil on them or vaseline.

Is there anything different going on in your life that is causing stress? Have you changed washing detergents? Tried a new food? I would try and diary everything for a while and see if you can come up with something that has changed. But, if nothing has changed, then think about the stress......Are you worried about anything? Oh, any chance you are pregnant?

If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symptoms and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.

For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne Treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

Makeup will only hide it.
Try drinking more water.
Consume more fresh fruits/veggies.
Add a Multivitamin/mineral such as spirulina. It not only energizes, but helps detox the body.

Stay away from eating poultry foods for awhile. There is a two
wk period after eating poultry when pimples will appear run it
through google.Could be estrogen levels, anxiety's,nerves, but I would check diet first because as they say you are what you eat
and what you eat does reflect on your skin .drink (good water)and do some sauna time that will clean your pores, try and get some sun your skin needs it especially in the winter.Hope it helped ..good luck

This sounds really weird but if you put the white of an egg on the problem area it drys it up and keeps new zits from coming back! I know..this sounds ridiculous but it really worked for me! I suggest you try.

I know it sounds reallt scary but maybe youneed a totaldetox including an enema? You can buy home enema kits all over the net.

My friend does it regularly and does some weird thing with coffee grounds ?

Whatever it is, she has the best skin I've ever seen on a woman her age! She started doing it after having chemotherapy for and you would never have believed she was even ill, or half her age!

If you give it a try - let me know how it goes lol, I haven't had the nerve to try :P

Sometimes, it's th little things that help. Don't pick the acne. Make sure you are drinking 1/2 ounce of water per pound of your body weight. Also make sure you are washing your face properly

1. Remove every trace of make-up/cosmetic on your face. Use cotton ball and moisturizing Cream to avoid damaging your skin.

2. Use lukewarm water. Avoid using too hot and too cold water that can dry out your skin. This will also open the pores for deeper cleansing.

3. Avoid strong or harsh soaps/ cleansers. Strong soaps can dry your skin and strip off natural lipids. Choose soap that are mild if you prefer soap, or you can always choose cleansers that are soap- free, non- comedogenic, and mild like Cetaphil, Burt Bee’s or Neutrogena.

4. Massage face by gently rotating upwards your middle ring and pinky fingers. Remember that hard rubbing will actually do more harm than good.

5. Rinse face well to remove all residue of soap or cleanser. Residues left behind can actually clog your pores. Facial cleansers can leave an invisible residue behind which can clog your pores. Rinse three times, then rinse again.

6. Pat dry with soft, non- abrasive towel. Never ever rub your face.

7. Use an alcohol- free toner on your face. It should make your face feel smooth and refreshed. Astringents and toners with glycolic or alpha hydroxy acids work the best for toning the face. These acids actually can reduce the pore size, and help avoid ingrown hairs. They are aggressive and have quick results. Remember to look for a product that is not photosensitive (sensitive to light).

8. Finish off with moisturizer to replenish the natural oils that has been lost. Moisturizing is a necessity. Again, the product with the least amount of chemical additives is the best. Always use a light moisturizer on your face after cleansing. For an intensive moisture treatment use pure Vitamin E, or aloe vera oil. It is available in liquid form, or just break open a capsule and apply the oil directly to the skin.
