If you have tried over the counter products, and you can't find anything that really helps, then you need to see a dermatologist. There are all kinds of prescriptions that they can give you.

try toothpaste.thats what soemone told me to do.
or hold a ice cube on it till its melted all the way or
put a hot clothe on it (i mean really hot)
or you can use proactive, but i try to do the inexpensive stuff.

I had the same problem. I have tried all kinds of products, including Proactive, even prescription Acutane. None of them actually got rid of the problem over time. What I finally did was to use the products (i.e. Proactive) plus getting a monthly acne cleaning facial. That facial Clear Away all your acne underneath you skin, even the oils that you can't see but will pop up weeks later in the form of acne. Plus, when professionals clean your acne, you won't have scars and you can barely see the wounds (unlike when you do it yourself). This way you don't get acne scars. Of course, you need to find a good professional. If you live in southern CA, I can give you a couple of good recommendations. If not, just try a few until you find the right one. I know this is not cheap but very worth it since you only have to spend the money once a month. Good luck!

Go to an asian store and ask for Eskinol. It works if you put it on every night. Don't worry, you're not alone!

There are some medicines that may work (e.g. OXY, Clearasil, etc.). I am using a prescription medicine, Retin-A, that works well.
Here's one thing I read in some magazine that really works (it clears it up overnight!): Mix a small packet of yeast, a quarter-teaspoon of lemon juice, and one-and-a-half teaspoons of water. Mix it up until it is like a cream. Put it on the pimples, and it will harden. They should be gone by the morning. It may smell bad, but it won't smell in the morning, and it really works. (This was from Drew Barrymore's makeup specialist or something like that a couple of years ago, and it's great if you're doing something big the next day.)
Good Luck!

Consistency is the key. It takes about 26-30 days for your skin to adjust to topical treatments. You must use the product consistently and correctly for any lasting effects. Proactive works but, typically people stop using it after they see results. You gotta keep up the routine for clean, clear skin. It's a commitment that you have to want to make. It's the price of beauty! Also, buy a ZENO machine. It kills acne with localized heat.

There are many cheap and effective home remedies for acne. Tomato slices, Turmeric, papaya juices and home made face packs will treat existing pimples and prevent further problems. More remedies at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/acne.html

Acne is a horrible, horrible monster that chooses to leave you at random times... and as for your problem, if you can get proactive, I tried it-before the Jess. Simpson commercials. The refining mask it comes with is probably the most powerful part, however after first time use, you get less results. If you've never tried it before, go for it, but that aside, make sure if you use make-up, it is non-comodogenic.
