My pediatrician told me to give her benadryl and watch it for 7 days to see what may be causing this. I noticed that when she gets upset, it comes out and about 40 minutes later it disappears. I try to keep her calm but she has PDD autism. so, it is very hard to do that.

I do the same thing, it's more flushed than true hives even though it has a blotchy appearance. It happens anytime I get truly worked up, excited, or when I cry. I have a friend who has this even worse. It goes away eventually. Im fair skinned so I always thought that's what it was but my friend has darker skin and it happens even more to her. Nothing to worry about for us. |

I've heard of something like this. I have a friend who has a lot of severe allergies, and will break out in hives when she cries. Good luck with your daughter. |
