Anything high in Zinc, such as Cold Eeze (found at your local drug store). Echinacea also works.

Aww! I'm sorry...I was just there last week. Drink chicken noodle soup, tea, and things that warm your throat. And, then after that drink some Nyquil. It's the best! It'll knock you out!

If you drink lots of fluids, get some rest, have chicken soup, and take a Decongestant -- you will get better in about 10 days.
Otherwise it will take a week and a half.

Aought a lot of them and think the truest comment is that it will take 14 days if you take the best over the counter stuff you can find and 2 weeks if you don't take anything.

While I tend to not like recommending cold/flu remedies two really good ones are Tylenol Cold And Flu and Cold FX. To prevent it in future, take lots of Vitamin C & E, drink lots of water and wash your hands routinely.

Ride it out. It's not going to go away faster. But DON'T eat dairy or chocolate. That will just make you more congested. Do gargle with salt water a lot- hot as you can stand it, take Vitamin C for general rebuilding of your health, and if you have green or yellow sputum or mucus, you DO have a secondary infection. In that case, don't wait, get anti-biotics pronto.

Drink orange juice or take Vitamin C suppliments. Vitamin C boosts your immune system and lessens your chances of getting sick and quickens "healing" time. Around Cold And Flu season, I drink lots of OJ to keep from getting sick and it works.
