Coughing and sore throat is a fairly common complication of postnasal drainage. The normal sinus x-rays probably means there is no infection. However it could be an inflammation, not caused by an infection. If this is the cause, it might respond to a course of nasal steroids, or possibly oral steroids for a short time.
As far as asthma, this can occur even if you are not wheezing. Cough is the most common symptom. The best way to make this diagnosis is to have spirometry, a pulmonary test, both before and after an inhaled medicine that opens up your airways.
It sounds like you are frustrated with the time it is taking to see your doctor, get tests and then get the results all the while you are still sick. I would talk about this aspect with your doctor when you get to see her, as well. The best bet from not seeing you or your tests is that the cause is coming from the upper airways and further therapy is indicated. Your doctor remains the best person to make this determination

Headaches can be caused by minor problems
like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more serious reasons
like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can
have harmful side effects, so it is better to
modify your lifestyle. More information available at

Sounds like allergies, maybe dust and/or grass or some kind of weed that your body can't handle.
Go to to an Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT)doctor so they can check your ears, sinuses and throat and treat you from there. You may need the stronger stuff right now to get this under control, especially if you have an infection.
In the future, keep Claritin D at the house and when you are going outside for a while, take this before leaving the house and continue it for a couple of days to keep things open. If your throat starts getting sore, you can also take 8 to 10 Garlic capsules a day for 4 or 5 days to try and ward off infections (good for any infections in the body unless they have a strong hold on you, then see a doctor).
People need to remember that infections can kill so you don't want to fool around if you think you have one. Good luck ~ hope you get to feeling better soon.
