If it stays high for enough time they could get brain damage from it and eventually death.. yes.

the answer is yes the heat if it gets above 104 will start to make the enzymes in your body stop to function and it also starts to break down proteins. Your blood will start to coagulate and restrict the blood flow to your brain and you will eventually die from massive organ failure.
thats if you do not get treatment.

Fever may be of benefit and is part of the body's response to a disease; however, if the fever goes above 42 °C (107.6 °F), then it may cause significant tissue damage. This is termed hyperpyrexia. 43.3oC (110oF) is considered the upper limit compatible with life

Yes, if they do not get treatment and it gets too high. I'm pretty sure that 108 degrees (F) is the lethal temperature.

Yes, a person can die from a fever.
I believe that brain cells start to die off at 104 (maybe 106 degree's of body temp.
In the medical books, they tell you that if a fever is to high and does not come down then put that person in an "ice bath" to cool the body core temp.

yes u can without the proper emergency care. wanna no how? with the outstanding rise in temp from the normal 37 degree c most if not all proteins in the body will be denatured. this means that they wiill lose thier functionality! problem is most if not all processes in the body r carrried out by proteins in one form or the other one very important example is hemeglobin in blood! so these processes shut down and death awaits u

If you manage to get up to 108 degrees Fahrenheit or higher, you stand a good chance of literally frying your brain cells.
This can lead to a shut-down of the autonomic system, which means no more breathing or heartbeat. You've become an ex-parrot.
The good news is that modern medicine can usually cool a person down to safe levels in a few hours if discovered in time. A fever that high is usually connected with a parasitic disease or serious meningitis. Cure the disease and the fever should break quickly.
