Ivermectin is used to treat infections due to certain parasites.
Storage
- Store at room temperature below 86 degrees F (30 degrees C) away from light and moisture.
Overdose
- If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
- Symptoms of overdose may include swelling; severe headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea; tiredness, or weakness.

How To Use
- Take by mouth, with water, as directed.
- Depending on your condition and response to therapy, future doses of Stromectol may be necessary.
Side Effects
- Nausea, headache, or muscle aches may occur.
- If any of these effects persist or worsen, contact your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
- Tell your doctor immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: swollen or tender glands (lymph nodes), joint pain, rash, swelling, itching, fever.
- Tell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: dizziness, fast pulse, bloating, change in the appearance of the eye, eye swelling/redness, trouble breathing.
- If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Precautions
- Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: immune system problems (e.g., HIV), breathing problems (asthma), recent foreign travel (Loa-loa endemic areas), any allergies you may have.
- To minimize dizziness and lightheadedness, get up slowly when rising from a seated or lying position.
- Stromectol should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy.
- Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
- Stromectol passes into breast milk.
- Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Missed Dose
- If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember.
- If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.
- Do not double the dose to catch up.
Drug Interactions
- Tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription drugs you may use.
- This product can affect the results of certain lab tests (e.g., liver).
- Make sure laboratory personnel and your doctors know you have used Stromectol.
- Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
