Uses
Solaquin Forte is used to temporarily fade dark skin spots such as freckles or age spots .
Storage
- Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light.
Overdose
- If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
- Solaquin Forte may be harmful if swallowed.

How To Use
- Solaquin Forte is for use on the skin only.
- Use twice daily or as directed.
- Apply carefully if using on face.
- Avoid contact with the eyes and mouth.
- To use, apply a small amount of medication on the skin to be treated.
- A thin layer is all that is needed.
- Rub in gently.
- Do not use on irritated or broken skin.
- Avoid sun exposure and wear a sunscreen and protective clothing while outdoors.
- If no effect is noticed after two months of treatments, notify your doctor.
Side Effects
- Notify your doctor if you develop any of the following symptoms: dry skin, burning, redness.
- Tell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: a gradual blue-black darkening of the skin (ochronosis).
- In the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to Solaquin Forte, seek medical attention immediately.
- Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing.
- If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Precautions
- Tell your doctor if you have any pre-existing conditions, such as: illness, infections, PABA sunscreen allergies, sulfite allergies (certain brands of Solaquin Forte contain sulfites).
- Solaquin Forte should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy.
- Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
- It is not known if Solaquin Forte is excreted into breast milk.
- Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Missed Dose
- If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.
- Do not double-up the dose to catch up.
Drug Interactions
- Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may use including any skin products.
- Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
