progesterone In Oil Uses Progesterone is a female hormone. It is used to treat amenorrhea (lack of menstrual flow) and abnormal uterine bleeding. It may also be prescribed for use in the treatment of endometriosis. Storage Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. Do not store in the bathroom. Overdose If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, sleepiness, and dizziness. Photos Progesterone in Oil PIO Progesterone in Oil for Injection Progesterone in Oil - Fertility Drug Progesterone in Oil 50mg/ml, 10ml PROGESTERONE/OIL 50MG/ML MDV 10ML How To Use Progesterone In Oil is given by injection into a muscle usually once a day for 6 to 8 consecutive days. Take Progesterone In Oil as directed. Do not skip a dose or stop taking this without first consulting your doctor. Side Effects Progesterone In Oil may cause nausea, headache, depression, itching, increased hair growth, increased sensitivity to sunlight, changes in menstrual flow, increased vaginal secretions, breast tenderness, fluid retention or pain and irritation at the injection site. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor immediately if you develop any of these serious effects: severe headache, vomiting, dizziness, pain/swelling/warmth or redness in the lower legs (calf), trouble breathing, fainting, chest pain, vision changes, numbness in the arms or legs. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist. Precautions Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: liver disease, diabetes, seizure disorder, kidney disease, heart problems, asthma, depression, migraines, blood clots, miscarriage, breast cancer, any allergies. Diabetic patients should monitor urine and blood sugar closely while using Progesterone In Oil as it can reduce glucose tolerance.
