Uses
Melquin-3 is used to temporarily fade dark skin spots such as freckles and age spots .
Storage
- Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) away from heat and light.
- Discard unused medication after the expiration date noted on the container.
Overdose
- If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
- Melquin-3 may be harmful if swallowed.

How To Use
- Melquin-3 is for use on the skin only.
- Use carefully if applying to the face.
- Avoid contact with the eyes and mouth.
- Use as directed, usually twice a day.
- For best results, apply a small amount of medication on the skin to be treated.
- A thin layer is all that is needed.
- Rub in gently.
- Do not use on irritated or broken skin.
Side Effects
- Melquin-3 may cause dry skin, burning, irritation, redness, cracking or peeling of the skin or a rash.
- Inform your doctor if any of these symptoms continue or become worse.
- Notify your doctor if you develop: a skin rash, swelling in the area the medication was applied to.
- Tell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: a gradual blue-black darkening of the skin (ochronosis).
- In the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to Melquin-3, seek immediate medical attention.
- Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing.
- If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Precautions
- Tell your doctor if you have: other illnesses, other infections, any allergies (especially to sulfites, certain brands of Melquin-3 contain sulfites).
- Melquin-3 should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy.
- Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
- It is not known if Melquin-3 is found in breast milk.
- Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Missed Dose
- If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as remembered; do not apply it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.
- Do not double-up the dose to catch up.
Drug Interactions
- Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you use, including: all skin products.
- Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
