m-Zole 3 Monistat 3, Miconazole 3, M-Zole, Sb Miconazole 3-Day, Monistat Dual-Pak Uses M-Zole 3 is an antifungal used to treat yeast (candida) infections of the vagina. Storage Store at room temperature away from heat and direct light. Do not freeze. Overdose If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. M-Zole 3 may be harmful if swallowed. How To Use Using the applicator provided, insert the cream or suppository high into the vagina, except during pregnancy. Detailed instructions should be included in the package. Read and follow them closely. Continue using M-Zole 3 for the complete period as prescribed, even during the menstrual period. Stopping therapy too soon may lead to re-infection. Side Effects M-Zole 3 may cause irritation, itching, burning, or stinging when first used. This should disappear as your body adjusts to the medication. If these effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor. Headache and body ache have also been reported. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist. Precautions The suppositories may interact with the latex of a diaphragm, cervical cap, or condom. If you use either of these methods of birth control, it is best to use the cream form of M-Zole 3 or use another method of birth control. M-Zole 3 should be used cautiously during pregnancy only if clearly needed. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known if M-Zole 3 appears in breast milk. Consult with your doctor before breast-feeding. Missed Dose If you miss a dose, insert as soon as remembered; do not use if it is almost time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up the dose to catch up. Drug Interactions Inform your doctor about all M-Zole 3s (prescription and nonprescription) you use, especially: warfarin. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
