Lactobacillus Acidophilus-Oral


This product contains the bacteria Lactobacillus acidophilus which is naturally found in the stomach/intestines. Sometimes antibiotics can disrupt the normal balance of bacteria in the stomach/intestines, causing diarrhea. This product has been used for diarrhea due to antibiotic use and can help to restore the normal balance of intestinal bacteria. It has also been used for vaginal and urinary tract infections. Some diet supplement products have been found to contain possibly harmful impurities/additives. Check with your pharmacist for more details regarding the particular brand you use. Uses
This product contains the bacteria Lactobacillus acidophilus which is naturally found in the stomach/intestines. Storage

Overdose

How To Use
  • Take this product by mouth, with milk, fruit juice, or water.

Side Effects
  • An increase in stomach gas may occur, but usually goes away with continued treatment.
  • If this effect persists or worsens, notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
  • An allergic reaction to this product is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs.
  • Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing.
  • If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions
  • This product should not be used if you have the following medical conditions: allergies to milk/lactose products.
  • Before using this product, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: diarrhea lasting more than 2 days (especially if you also have a high fever), other stomach problems, recurring vaginal infections, recurring urinary tract infections, any allergies.
  • Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breast-feeding before using this product.

Missed Dose
  • If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember.
  • If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.
  • Do not double the dose to catch up.

Drug Interactions
  • Before using this product, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription products you may use, especially of: antibiotics.
  • Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
