Storage Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15-30 degrees C) away from heat, light and moisture. Overdose If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Fleet Glycerin may be harmful if swallowed. If you or someone you know may have taken Fleet Glycerin by mouth, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Lie down on your left side with the right knee bent (if left-handed, lie on the right side with the left knee bent). Push the suppository into the rectum with your finger. Do not use more of Fleet Glycerin than directed on the package label or by your doctor. Do not use for longer than 1 week unless directed by your doctor. Consult your doctor or pharmacist. Laxatives should only be used temporarily until normal bowel habits return. Prolonged use can lead to laxative dependence. Side Effects Skin irritation or burning around the rectum may occur. If these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor. Very unlikely but report promptly: blood in stools, persistent urge to empty the bowel, persistent diarrhea. Fleet Glycerin should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known if glycerin is excreted into breast milk.
