flagyl I.v. Rtu Metronidazole, Metro Iv Uses Metronidazole is an antibiotic used to treat a variety of infections. Storage Flagyl I.v. Rtu must be stored properly. Review storage instructions with your doctor or pharmacist. Intravenous bags may need to be stored in the refrigerator. If so, let the bag warm to room temperature before using. Check expiration date before using. Store vial at room temperature away from sunlight. Overdose If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, and seizures. How To Use Flagyl I.v. Rtu should be used as directed by your doctor. Antibiotics work best when the amount of medicine in your body is kept at a constant level. Do this by taking the medication at evenly spaced intervals throughout the day and night. Continue to use Flagyl I.v. Rtu until the full prescribed amount is finished even if symptoms disappear after a few days. Stopping the medication too early may allow bacteria to continue to grow resulting in a relapse of the infection. Side Effects Dizziness, headache, diarrhea, nausea, stomach pain, change in taste sensation or dry mouth may occur. If these effects persist or worsen, contact your doctor. Unlikely but report: seizures, loss of consciousness, tingling of hands or feet. Overall: Low adverse Reactions Healing Power: No dependency problems: Cost-Benefit: Sex: F Age: 18 Time Taken: 4 days Reason: Bacterial Vaginosis Date: 19 March 2006 Side Effects Severe nausea, vomiting, migraines, severe fatigue, irritability, abdominal cramping, lower back pains Additional Thoughts Don't take it! You can't possibly live your life when you are violently sick for hours each morning and night. Additional Thoughts Taking this medicine (along with cipro) was a traumatic experience. I only took it for 3 days and I started going into convulstions. After that calmed down I was so weak I could hardly move for 3 days, and the nausea and headaches were unbearable. What confuses me is when I went to the ER because of these symptoms they told me to keep taking the flagyl and cipro???????? I felt poisoned!!!
