Uses
Erythromycin is an antibiotic. It is used topically to treat acne.
Storage
- Store this in a cool, dry area away from heat and light as directed.
- Check the expiration date on the bottle and discard any expired medication after that date.
Overdose
- If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
- Eryderm may be harmful if swallowed.

How To Use
- Eryderm is for topical use only.
- Clean and dry the affected area before applying Eryderm.
- Apply a small amount to the affected area using fingertips, cotton balls or an applicator.
- Do not rub.
- Wash hands after use.
- Do not use this more often or for longer than directed.
- Your condition will not clear faster, but the chance for side effects may be increased.
- Avoid contact with the eyes.
- Do not get Eryderm inside the nose or mouth.
Side Effects
- Eryderm may cause redness, burning, dry skin, itching, eye irritation and oily skin.
- Notify your doctor if these symptoms continue or if you develop a skin rash.
- In the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to Eryderm, seek medical attention immediately.
- Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing.
- If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Precautions
- Tell your doctor if you have: allergies (especially to antibiotics).
- Eryderm should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy.
- Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
- Small amounts of Eryderm may be found in breast milk.
- Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Missed Dose
- If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as remembered; do not apply it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.
- Do not double-up the dose to catch up.
Drug Interactions
- Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may use especially: all skin products.
- Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
