Uses
Enzymatic Digestant contains digestive enzymes which help digest and absorb foods. It is used to treat symptoms of pancreatitis or other various digestive disorders.


Storage
  • Store at room temperature and keep away from moisture and sunlight.
  • Do not store in the bathroom.


Overdose
  • If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
  • Symptoms of overdose may include diarrhea or upset stomach.

How To Use
  • Enzymatic Digestant works best if taken with or after meals.
  • Antacids may hinder the effects of Enzymatic Digestant.
  • Do not take an antacid at the same time as Enzymatic Digestant.
  • Wait at least two hours between administration.

Side Effects
  • Generally Enzymatic Digestant is very well tolerated and side effects are mild if they occur.
  • Diarrhea, cramping or stomach upset may occur when starting treatment.
  • If these effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor.
  • Although very unlikely to occur, notify your doctor if you develop: skin rash, severe stomach distress.
  • If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions
  • Tell your doctor if your are allergic to the following: pork.
  • Enzymatic Digestant should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed.
  • Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
  • It is not known if Enzymatic Digestant appears in breast milk.
  • Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Missed Dose
  • Take any missed dose as soon as possible but not if it is almost time for the next dose.
  • If it is time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule.
  • Do not double-up the dose.

Drug Interactions
  • Tell your doctor of all medicines you may use including prescription and nonprescription, especially: antacids that contain calcium and/or magnesium, iron.
  • Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
