This combination medication is used to treat a cough associated with the common cold, allergies and other respiratory illnesses. Storage Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. Do not store in the bathroom. Overdose If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, blurred vision, slowed breathing, and seizures. Do not increase your dose or take this more often than directed. Capsules and long-acting tablets must be swallowed whole with a full glass of water. Do not crush or chew them. Side Effects Headache, dizziness, loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting may occur the first several days as your body adjusts to the medication.
