Uses
Erythromycin is an antibiotic. It is used topically to treat acne.


Storage
  • Store this in a cool, dry area away from heat and light as directed.
  • Check the expiration date on the bottle and discard any expired medication after that date.


Overdose
  • If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
  • Del-Mycin may be harmful if swallowed.

How To Use
  • Del-Mycin is for topical use only.
  • Clean and dry the affected area before applying Del-Mycin.
  • Apply a small amount to the affected area using fingertips, cotton balls or an applicator.
  • Do not rub.
  • Wash hands after use.
  • Do not use this more often or for longer than directed.
  • Your condition will not clear faster, but the chance for side effects may be increased.
  • Avoid contact with the eyes.
  • Do not get Del-Mycin inside the nose or mouth.

Side Effects
  • Del-Mycin may cause redness, burning, dry skin, itching, eye irritation and oily skin.
  • Notify your doctor if these symptoms continue or if you develop a skin rash.
  • In the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to Del-Mycin, seek medical attention immediately.
  • Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing.
  • If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions
  • Tell your doctor if you have: allergies (especially to antibiotics).
  • Del-Mycin should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy.
  • Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
  • Small amounts of Del-Mycin may be found in breast milk.
  • Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Missed Dose
  • If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as remembered; do not apply it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.
  • Do not double-up the dose to catch up.

Drug Interactions
  • Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may use especially: all skin products.
