Uses
B & O Supprettes No.16-A is used for relief of moderate to severe pain in certain illnesses, including kidney related conditions (ureteral spasm).


Storage
  • Store at room temperature away from sunlight and moisture.
  • Do not refrigerate.


Overdose
  • If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
  • B & O Supprettes No.16-A may be harmful if swallowed.
  • Symptoms of overdose may include slowed or difficult breathing, pinpoint pupils, and loss of consciousness.

How To Use
  • Moisten the suppository and your finger with water before inserting.
  • B & O Supprettes No.16-A must be used exactly as prescribed.

Side Effects
  • B & O Supprettes No.16-A may cause drowsiness, dry mouth, dizziness, blurred vision, constipation, nausea/vomiting, eye sensitivity to light.
  • If these continue or are bothersome, notify your doctor.
  • Very unlikely but report: difficulty urinating, itching, rash, rapid heartbeat, fever, breathing trouble, mental changes, seizures, decreased sex drive.
  • If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions
  • Before using B & O Supprettes No.16-A, tell your doctor your entire medical history, especially if you have: liver disease, kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, high blood pressure, prostate enlargement (males), seizures, abnormal thyroid function, stomach or intestinal disorders, narrow-angle glaucoma, alcoholism, allergies.
  • Caution is advised with use in very hot climates, if a fever is present or in combination with alcohol.
  • B & O Supprettes No.16-A should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy.
  • Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
  • It is not known whether B & O Supprettes No.16-A is excreted into human milk.
  • Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
  • This product is not recommended for use in children under 12.

Missed Dose
  • If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember.
  • If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.
  • Do not double-up the dose to catch up.

Drug Interactions
  • Tell your doctor of all nonprescription or prescription medication you use, especially of: muscle relaxants, antidepressants (tricyclic), tranquilizers, sleep medicine, amantadine, antiparkinson drugs, narcotic pain relievers, cough medicines, quinidine, procainamide, disopyramide, MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine), antihistamines, levodopa, digoxin, ketoconazole, potassium supplements, corticosteroids (e.g., prednisone), amphetamines, alcohol, cimetidine.
  • Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
