Uses
Aromatic ammonia is used to prevent and/or treat fainting.


Storage
  • Store at room temperature not exceeding 86 degrees F (30 degrees C) away from light and moisture.


Overdose
  • Overdose with this product is highly unlikely.
  • If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

How To Use
  • Hold the inhalant away from the face and squeeze it hard (crush) between your fingers; this will activate the dose package.
  • Place the inhalant 4 inches from the nostrils until the patient awakens or no longer feels faint; or use as directed by your doctor.
  • Avoid contact of Amoply with eyes and skin.
  • If eye contact occurs, flush the eye(s) with a gentle stream of water for 20 minutes and call your doctor.
  • If skin contact occurs, flush the affected skin with water.
  • Do not rub or apply ointment to the skin.
  • Call your doctor if skin irritation persists.

Side Effects
  • Cough, vomiting, diarrhea, and headache may occur.
  • If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor promptly.
  • Tell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: trouble breathing.
  • If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions
  • Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: lung disease, eye problems, any allergies.
  • Amoply should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy.
  • Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
  • It is not known whether Amoply passes into breast milk.
  • Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Missed Dose
  • Not applicable.

Drug Interactions
  • Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription medication you may use.
  • Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
