Uses
Alphaquin Hp is used to temporarily fade dark skin spots such as freckles and age spots .


Storage
  • Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light.


Overdose
  • If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
  • Alphaquin Hp may be harmful if swallowed.

How To Use
  • Alphaquin Hp is for use on the skin only.
  • Use twice daily or as directed.
  • Apply carefully if using on face.
  • Avoid contact with the eyes and mouth.
  • To use, apply a small amount of medication on the skin to be treated.
  • A thin layer is all that is needed.
  • Rub in gently.
  • Do not use on irritated or broken skin.
  • Avoid sun exposure and wear a sunscreen and protective clothing while outdoors.
  • If no effect is noticed after two months of treatments, notify your doctor.

Side Effects
  • Notify your doctor if you develop: dry/burning/red skin.
  • Tell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: a gradual blue-black darkening of the skin (ochronosis).
  • In the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to Alphaquin Hp, seek medical attention immediately.
  • Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing.
  • If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions
  • Tell your doctor if you have: other illnesses or infections, any allergies (especially to sulfites or sunscreens, certain brands of Alphaquin Hp contain sulfites).
  • Alphaquin Hp should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy.
  • Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
  • It is not known if Alphaquin Hp is excreted into breast milk.
  • Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Missed Dose
  • If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.
  • Do not double-up the dose to catch up.

Drug Interactions
  • Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you use, including: other skin products.
  • Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
