How To Use
  • HOW TO USE THIS MEDICATION: This medication must be administered as directed by your doctor.
  • Antibiotics work best when the amount of medicine in your body is kept at a constant level.
  • Do this by using the medication at evenly spaced intervals throughout the day and night.
  • Continue to use this medication until the full prescribed amount is finished even if symptoms disappear after a few days.
  • Stopping the medication too early may allow bacteria to continue to grow resulting in a relapse of the infection.

Side Effects
  • This medication may cause stomach upset, diarrhea, nausea, headache or vomiting.
  • If these symptoms persist or worsen, notify your doctor.
  • Tetracyclines increase sensitivity to sunlight.
  • Unlikely but report promptly fever, increased thirst, sore throat, mouth, yellowing eyes and skin or vision/mental changes.
  • Use of this medication for prolonged or repeated periods may result in a secondary infection (e.g., oral, bladder or vaginal yeast infection).
  • In the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immediate medical attention.
  • Symptoms of an allergic reaction include rash, itching, swelling, dizziness or trouble breathing.
  • If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Side Effects
Nausea ! Then strong hunger pangs. For the first couple days, I had no side effects at all, whether I took it just with water or with food. Then the nausea began slowly, and by the 4th day I had to stop taking this. If I got through the nausea, this caused my stomach to "awaken" and feel empty and hungry.

Additional Thoughts
Hated to stop in the middle of treatment, but even with food this caused a near-vomiting episode, and that was enough !! This was prescribed for rosacea, and for chronic, asymptomatic eye-redness that has persisted for several months.

Reason: Malaria Prevention Date: 4 November 2006
Side Effects
Upset stomach and moderate nausea. Eating usually helped this and it went away after a couple of weeks.

Additional Thoughts
This stuff gets rid of all kinds of bacteria. During the five months that I took it it got rid of an infected tattoo, my acne breakouts, and I didn't contract malaria which was the main reason I was taking it. Don't drink milk when you take it though. It makes the nausea worse.
