How To Use
- HOW TO USE THIS MEDICATION: This medication will be administered by a health care professional.
- It may take several days to several months to complete treatment.
- This depends upon the type and location of the infection.
Side Effects
- You may experience diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, or loss of appetite as your body adjusts to the medication.
- If these symptoms persist or get worse, contact your doctor.
- Notify your doctor if you experience skin rash, hives, itching, fever, chills; or pain at injection site.
- If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Precautions
- Tell your doctor your complete medical history, especially if you have or had liver problems.
- This medication should be used cautiously during pregnancy only if clearly needed.
- It is not known if this drug appears in breast milk.
- Consult with your doctor before breast-feeding.
Missed Dose
- If you miss a dose, contact your health care professional who may adjust your dosing schedule.
Drug Interactions
- Tell your doctor about all the medicines you use (both prescription and nonprescription).
- Inform your doctor if you are taking anticoagulants, diabetes medication, isoniazid, rifampin, rifabutin, phenytoin or cisapride.
- Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
