Uses
This medication is used to stop excessive uterine bleeding after childbirth or after early discontinuation of pregnancy.
Notes
- This medication is known to pass into breast milk.
- Notify your doctor if your are nursing.
Storage
- Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C) away from heat and sunlight.
- Do not store in the bathroom.

How To Use
- Take this medication exactly as prescribed.
- Do not take larger doses, more often, or longer than instructed.
Side Effects
- Some nausea or vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea, or dizziness may occur.
- These should go away as your body adjusts to the medication.
- Notify your doctor if you develop chest pain, blurred vision, convulsions, shortness of breath, or coldness in hands or feet.
- If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Precautions
- This drug should not be used during pregnancy.
- This medication appears in breast milk: consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
- Tell your doctor if you have a history of heart disease or high blood pressure or if you have pre-existing kidney or liver disease, blood vessel disease or problems with circulation.
Missed Dose
- If you miss a dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.
- Do not "double-up" the doses.
Drug Interactions
- Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take.
- Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
