Uses
Treats overactive bladder and incontinence.

Storage
  • Store the medicine in a closed container at room temperature, away from heat, moisture, and direct light.
  • Ask your pharmacist, doctor, or health caregiver about the best way to dispose of any outdated medicine or medicine no longer needed. Keep all medicine away from children and never share your medicine with anyone.


How To Use
  • APPEARANCE: Liquid, Tablet, Long Acting Tablet, Dissolving Tablet, Coated Tablet, Long Acting Capsule, Capsule. Your doctor will tell you how much of this medicine to use and how often.
  • Do not use more medicine or use it more often than your doctor tells you to. It is best to take this medicine on an empty stomach.
  • Take this medicine 1 hour before a meal. Drink extra fluids so you will pass more urine while you are using this medicine.
  • This will keep your kidneys working well and help prevent kidney problems. This medicine is available in several different forms.
  • Sometimes the tablet or capsule has to be swallowed whole.
  • Do not chew or crush any tablet or capsule that has to be swallowed whole.
  • Sometimes the capsule can be opened and sprinkled on soft food.
  • Ask your pharmacist how to take the specific kind of medicine that you are using.
  • Make sure you understand all the directions, so you will get the right amount of medicine. Measure the oral liquid medicine with a marked measuring spoon, oral syringe, or medicine cup.

Side Effects
  • Call your doctor right away if you notice any of these side effects: Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing. Blistering, peeling, red skin rash. Chest pain, fast or uneven heartbeat. Change in how much or how often you urinate. Painful or difficult urination.

Precautions
  • Make sure your doctor knows if you have had an allergic reaction to any medicine.
  • Tell your doctor if you have glaucoma, trouble urinating, or a blockage in your digestive system.

Missed Dose
  • If you miss a dose or forget to use your medicine, wait until 1 hour before your next meal to take the missed dose.
  • Do not use extra medicine to make up for a missed dose.

Drug Interactions
  • Make sure your doctor knows if you are pregnant or breast feeding.
  • Tell your doctor if you have kidney disease, liver disease, a bladder obstruction, or if you cannot urinate properly.
  • Your doctor will need to know if you have colitis, myasthenia gravis, or other problems with digestion. This medicine may make it easier for you to have heat stroke.
  • Be careful to avoid over-exertion when you are in a hot environment or outdoors on a hot day.
  • Signs of heat stroke include fever, extreme thirst, hot dry skin, dizziness, confusion, and muscle cramps. This medicine may make you drowsy.
  • Avoid driving, using machines, or doing anything else that could be dangerous if you are not alert.
  • Drowsiness could be made worse if you drink alcohol. Prosed® EC contains methylene blue.
  • Using this medicine may cause your urine or stools to turn a blue or blue-green color.
  • This is normal.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have any concerns about this.
