Uses
Kills bacteria on your skin.

Storage
  • Store the cleanser in a closed container at room temperature, away from heat and direct light. Keep all medicines and cleansers away from children and pets.


How To Use
  • APPEARANCE: Lotion, Gel/Jelly, Liquid, Swab, Spray, Foam, Soap, Pad. If you are using this medicine without a prescription, follow the instructions on the medicine label. PHisoHex® (hexachlorophene) cleanser is a surgical scrub and should not be used on skin that is broken or burned.
  • Wash your skin thoroughly and rinse very well with water.
  • Follow your doctor's instructions about how and where to use this cleanser very carefully. Chlorostat® (chlorhexidine) cleanser can be used to clean minor skin wounds.
  • Wash gently and rinse thoroughly. Many of the over-the-counter antibacterial pads, gels, lotions, and foams contain alcohol.
  • They kill germs without having to rinse your skin with water.
  • Follow the directions on the package for best results. Different forms of the cleansers are used in different ways.
  • Be sure you understand all the directions before you use them.
  • Ask a pharmacist if you have any questions. If the cleanser contains alcohol, you should not use it near a fire, electrical device, or if you are smoking.

Side Effects
  • Call your doctor right away if you notice any of these side effects: Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing. Anxiety, nervousness, or agitation. Cramps, vomiting, or loss of appetite. Muscle spasms, or seizures.

Precautions
  • You should not use this cleanser if you have had an allergic reaction to any of the ingredients.
  • If you are not sure what the ingredients are, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
  • This cleanser should not be used on a regular basis over large areas of your body.
  • Do not use in your eyes, ears, mouth, nose, or genital area.
  • This cleanser should not be used on a baby unless your doctor tells you to.


Drug Interactions
  • Make sure your doctor knows if you are pregnant or breast feeding.
  • Tell your doctor if you have had a reaction to a topical antibacterial cleanser in the past. This medicine may make your skin more sensitive to sunlight.
  • Use a sunscreen when you are outdoors.
  • Avoid sunlamps and tanning beds.
