Uses
Treats many conditions of the stomach, kidneys, and the bladder. Used in anesthesia during surgery. May be used as part of test to help your doctor see your kidneys better with an x-ray or other machine.
How To Use
- APPEARANCE: Injectable.
Your doctor will prescribe your exact dose and tell you how often it should be given.
- This medicine is given as a shot under your skin, into a muscle, or into a vein.
A nurse or other trained health professional will give you this medicine.
Side Effects
- Call your doctor right away if you notice any of these side effects:
Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing.
Blurred vision.
Confusion, drowsiness, dizziness, or headache.
Decrease in how much or how often you urinate.
Fast or strong heartbeat.
Problems with your speech.
Precautions
- You should not receive this medicine if you have had an allergic reaction to hyoscyamine sulfate.
- You should not receive this medicine if you have glaucoma, problems with urination, disease of intestines such as ulcerative colitis, myasthenia gravis, severe heart disease or have had severe blood loss.
Drug Interactions
- Make sure your doctor knows if you are pregnant or breast feeding.
Make sure your doctor knows if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, kidney disease, or thyroid disease.
This medicine may make you drowsy.
- Avoid driving, using machines, or doing anything else that could be dangerous if you are not alert.

This medicine may make you sweat less, this can be dangerous if you get too hot.
Make sure your doctor knows if you have had severe diarrhea or hiatus hernia.
