Side Effects Call your doctor right away if you notice any of these side effects: Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing. Chest pain, shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing. Confusion, weakness, uneven or very fast heartbeat, or numbness or tingling in your hands, feet, or lips. Decrease in how much or how often you urinate. Fever, chills, or cough. Hearing loss, or ringing in your ears. Loss of sight, eye pain, or vision changes. Muscle cramping. Pain, itching, burning, swelling, or a lump under your skin where the needle is placed. Swelling in your hands, ankles, or feet. Unusual bleeding, bruising, or weakness. Precautions You should not use this medicine if you have had an allergic reaction to gallium nitrate, or if you have severe kidney problems. Drug Interactions Make sure your doctor knows if you are pregnant or breast feeding, or if you have a history of heart disease or kidney disease.
