Uses
Given during a medical test. Helps Hodgkin's disease, lymphoma, lung cancer, or infections show up more clearly on the test.



How To Use
  • APPEARANCE: Injectable. A nurse or other trained health professional will give you this medicine. This medicine is injected into your body through a needle placed in one of your veins. Within a day after receiving your injection, you will have an x-ray test. This medicine will help your doctor to see where an infection or tumor is in your body. On the day of injection, you may be given laxatives and enemas to clean your intestines for several days.

Side Effects
  • Call your doctor right away if you notice any of these side effects: Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing.

Precautions
  • You should not receive this medicine if you have had an allergic reaction to gallium citrate Ga 67 or benzyl alcohol.


Drug Interactions
  • Make sure your doctor knows if you are pregnant or breast feeding. While using this medicine, you may be exposed to the dangers of radiation.
  • Talk to your doctor about this risk.
