This medication is used as an antiperspirant to treat feet that sweat or smell excessively. It is also used as a drying agent during wart treatment.
Notes
- Do not share this medication with others.
Storage
- Store at room temperature between 59-86 degrees F (15-30 degrees C) away from light and moisture.
- Apply cap tightly after each use.
- Do not store in the bathroom.
- Keep all medicines away from children and pets.
Overdose
- This medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
- If accidentally swallowed, you may experience symptoms such as: severe pain/swelling/ulcers of the mouth or throat, bloody vomit or diarrhea, dizziness, loss of consciousness, seizures.
How To Use
- This medication is for use on the skin only.
- Do not shake the container.
- Apply generally once daily to affected skin; or as directed by your doctor.
- Keep this medication away from your eyes, nose, and mouth.
- If contact occurs on these areas or skin that should not be treated, rinse thoroughly with soap and water.
- If a skin reaction occurs even after rinsing, contact your doctor promptly.Use this medication regularly in order to get the most benefit from it.
- Remember to use it at the same time each day.If your condition persists or worsens, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Side Effects
- Irritation or redness of the skin may occur.
- Skin lightening or hardening may also occur.
- If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly.Remember that your doctor has prescribed this medication because the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects.
- Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects.A serious allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs.
- Symptoms of a serious allergic reaction include: severe rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing.If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Precautions
- Before taking formaldehyde, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or if you have any other allergies.Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history.Tell your doctor if you are pregnant before using this medication.It is not known whether this drug passes into breast milk.
- Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Missed Dose
- If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember.
- If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.
- Do not double the dose to catch up.
Drug Interactions
- Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription/herbal products you may use.Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
