Ergamisol Uses This medication stimulates the body's immune system to help treat and protect against illness. It is used in combination with other medications in the treatment of colon cancer. Notes This medication must be taken under close medical supervision. Understand the risks and benefits of this therapy. This medication affects your blood cells. It is important to have your blood checked frequently while taking this medication to see if changes in the dose are necessary. Storage Store at room temperature and keep away from moisture and sunlight. Do not store in the bathroom. Photos How To Use Take this medication exactly as prescribed. Do not increase your dose or take it more often. Your condition will not improve faster by taking more medication, but side effects will be increased. This medication may be taken with food or milk to minimize nausea. Side Effects This medication causes nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, mouth sores, loss of appetite, stomach pain, change in taste and smell, muscle aches, fatigue, dizziness, headache and skin rash. Notify your doctor if these symptoms become bothersome. Notify your doctor if you develop any flu-like symptoms (fever, chills, weakness, sore throat) while taking this medication. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist. Precautions Avoid use of alcohol and alcohol containing products while taking this medication. Severe stomach upset, flushing and headache can occur. This drug is not recommended for use in pregnant or nursing women or in children. Missed Dose Do not take the missed dose at all and do not "double-up" the next dose. Resume your regular dosing schedule and check with your doctor. Drug Interactions Inform your doctor about all the medicines you use (both prescription and nonprescription). Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
