Side Effects Call your doctor right away if you notice any of these side effects: Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing. Decrease in how much or how often you urinate. High blood pressure, fast or uneven heartbeat. Pale skin or loss of color in your lips. Tremor, confusion, or nightmares. Trouble breathing. Severe headache, dizziness or weakness. Precautions You should not use this medicine if you have an allergy to ephedrine. You should not use this medicine if you have angle closure glaucoma. You should not use this medicine if you have a type of thyroid disease called thyrotoxicosis. You should not use this medicine if you have diabetes or high blood pressure.
