Uses
Treats low blood pressure that is caused by other medicines. Also used to improve breathing.



How To Use
  • APPEARANCE: Injectable. Your doctor will prescribe your exact dose and tell you how often it should be given.
  • This medicine is given as a shot under your skin, into a muscle, or into a vein. A nurse or other trained health professional will give you this medicine. This medicine is not for long-term use.

Side Effects
  • Call your doctor right away if you notice any of these side effects: Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing. Decrease in how much or how often you urinate. High blood pressure, fast or uneven heartbeat. Pale skin or loss of color in your lips. Tremor, confusion, or nightmares. Trouble breathing. Severe headache, dizziness or weakness.

Precautions
  • You should not use this medicine if you have an allergy to ephedrine.
  • You should not use this medicine if you have angle closure glaucoma.
  • You should not use this medicine if you have a type of thyroid disease called thyrotoxicosis.
  • You should not use this medicine if you have diabetes or high blood pressure.


Drug Interactions
  • Make sure your doctor knows if you are pregnant or breast feeding. Make sure your doctor knows if you have heart rhythm problems or chest pain.
