Side Effects I have been taking Clonazepam for 7+ years now. I started at 2mg a day and now I'm currently at 0.5mg a day in AM.
I have to say since I have been taking it for such a prolonged period of time I am experiencing many side effects from the medication. In particular for the past year or two as I am attempting to taper off the medication.
I have experienced headaches, dizziness, vomitting, sleeplessness (insomnia), extreme itching with no rash, extreme sweating during sleep, nightmares, increased sex drive, abnormal eye movements and twitching, glassy eyed appearance, slurred speech, tremor, vertigo, confusion, nervousness, irratibility, shortness of breath, heart palpitations, dry mouth, increased appetite, sore gums, muscle weakness, muscle pains, fever.
This is all over a period of 7+ years using the medication. I will say over the past year I've experienced the strongest side effects due to the fact I'm trying to taper off of it after taking it for such a long time.

If you suffer from anxiety or panic of going to speak infront of people, or crowded buses, or crowded shopping malls (as I did at one point), its very important to remember that we also need to work on other aspects of our lives to fix this, not just rely on medication. Its confidence, self-esteem issues that need to be addressed, not just pop a pill and forget about the underlying issues.
I've struggled for over a decade to address all the issues needed to be addressed. On
