- Check the expiration date on the tube and discard any expired medication.
How To Use
- HOW TO USE THIS MEDICATION: For best effects, this medication must be used as directed.
- Continue using it for the full time prescribed.
- Stopping this medication too soon may not clear the infection and could possibly result in a reinfection.
- Apply eye ointment to the affected eye(s) as follows: Wash hands first.
- To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch the tube tip or let it touch your eye.
- Rolling the ointment tube in your hands for a minute will make the ointment flow easier.
- Tilt your head back, gaze upward and pull down the lower eyelid to make a pouch.
- Place 1/4 to 1/2 inch of ointment into the pouch by squeezing the tube gently.
- Close the eye and roll the eyeball in all directions to spread the medication.
- Try not to blink and do not rub the eye.
- Wipe the tip of the ointment tube with a tissue to remove excess medication before capping it.
