Arnica Uses Arnica flowers have been used for reducing the swelling and pain of bruises, sprains, muscle/joint problems, and insect bites. Overdose Symptoms after swallowing may include: irritation inside the mouth, drowsiness, stomach pain, vomiting, diarrhea, fast heartbeat, shortness of breath. How To Use Apply this product to the affected area of skin as directed. Do not apply to scraped skin or open wounds. Follow all directions on the product package. Precautions Before using arnica, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or to plants in the Asteraceae/daisy family such as ragweed, chrysanthemums, marigolds, and daisies; or if you have any other allergies.Arnica is not recommended for use during pregnancy. Consult your doctor before using this product.It is not known whether this drug passes into breast milk. Because of possible risk to the nursing infant, breast-feeding while using this product is not recommended. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding. Missed Dose If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up. Drug Interactions If you are using this medication under your doctor's direction, your doctor or pharmacist may already be aware of any possible drug interactions and may be monitoring you for them. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with your doctor or pharmacist first.Before using this product, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription medications you may use, especially of: other skin medications, aspirin, "blood thinners" (e.g., warfarin, heparins including dalteparin, enoxaparin), antiplatelet drugs (e.g., clopidogrel, ticlopidine).If your doctor has prescribed low doses of aspirin to prevent heart attack or stroke (usually at dosages of 81-325 milligrams a day), you should continue to take the aspirin.
