This medication is used to treat mouth ulcers.
Notes
  • Do not share this medication with others.

Storage
  • Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15-30 degrees C) away from sunlight and moisture.


How To Use
  • HOW TO USE THIS MEDICATION: Apply a thin layer of the medication to the affected area as soon as possible after noticing the ulcer.
  • Generally the drug is used four times daily.
  • It is best used after brushing/flossing following meals and at bedtime.
  • With gentle pressure, dab the paste onto each ulcer in the mouth with a fingertip.
  • Continue use until the ulcer heals.
  • Healing or pain control should occur within 10 days.
  • If not, contact your dentist.
  • Wash hands immediately after applying the medication.

Side Effects
  • Pain, stinging or burning in the affected area of the mouth may occur.
  • If these persist or worsen, notify your doctor promptly.
  • Very unlikely but report immediately any rash, severe mouth irritation, nausea or diarrhea.
  • If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions
  • Before using this drug, tell your doctor your entire medical history, including any allergies (especially drug allergies).
  • Wash eyes promptly if they contact the paste.
  • Tell your doctor if you are pregnant before using this medication.
  • It is not known if this drug is excreted into breast milk.
  • Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Missed Dose
  • If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember.
  • If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.
  • Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.

Drug Interactions
  • Tell your doctor of all nonprescription or prescription medication you may use.
  • Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
