Acetylcholine Miochol-E Uses Used during several kinds of eye surgery to make the eye muscles contract and constrict the pupil. How To Use APPEARANCE: Injectable. A nurse or other trained health professional will give you this medicine.This medicine is given through a small tube inserted in your eye. It will be given during your eye surgery. Side Effects Call your doctor right away if you notice any of these side effects: Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing. Precautions You should not be given this medicine if you have had an allergic reaction to acetylcholine (Miochol®-E), or mannitol.
